Pozivamo Vas na konferenciju za tisak u utorak, 26.11.2013. u 13.00 sati u Knjižnicu i čitaonicu „Fran Galović“ Koprivnica (Soba za sastanke na 1. katu) povodom završetka tromjesečnog boravka Kaise Kytömäki iz Gradske knjižnice Sastamala u Finskoj, gošće koprivničke Knjižnice i čitaonice „Fran Galović“ u programu GRUNDTVIG ASSISTANTSHIPS, potprogram Cjeloživotno učenje odraslih.
Prilažemo popis aktivnosti i programa na engleskom jeziku, na kojima je naša gošća iz Finske sudjelovala u protekla tri mjeseca. Provodili su se ne samo u koprivničkoj Knjižnici, nego i knjižnicama u Zagrebu, Virju, Đurđevcu , Križevcima, Zadru, klubu Pixel, nekim koprivničkim udrugama i široj lokalnoj zajednici:

During her Assistantship, Ms. Kytömäki performed various tasks, such as
1. observing and participating in library work, taking part in events organized in the host institution, and taking part in library cooperation with the local community throughout the entire assistantship,
2. organizing workshops:
a. “Finnish for Beginners” (2.10.2013 at Public Library “Fran Galović”)
b. “Learning English” (13.11.2013 at “Bolje Sutra”, Koprivnica organization for disabled people),
3. having the following lectures for Croatian librarians about current trends in Finnish librarianship and libraries:
a. lecture about work at Sastamala City Library (17.9.2013 at Public Library “Fran Galović”),
b. “Lifelong learning and internationalization of Finnish library staff – experiences of the Grundtvig program” (10.10.2013 at Conference on Public Libraries in the Republic of Croatia, held in Zadar, Croatia 9. -11.10. 2013),
c. lecture about current trends in Finnish librarianship and Sastamala City Library (30.10.2013 at Zagreb City Library),
4. having the following lectures for the wider public in Koprivnica:
a. Finnish society and libraries – Finnish-Croatian perspectives (19.11.2013 at Public Library “Fran Galović”)
b. Finnish culture and literature (7.11.2013 at Kulturno kreativni centar Pixel)
c. Evening of Finnish music (21.11.2013 at Kulturno kreativni centar Pixel)
5. visiting other libraries in the Koprivnica-Križevci County (libraries of Virje and Đurđevac on 27.11.2013, and Križevci on 28.11.2013),
During her stay Ms. Kaisa Kytömäki also took part in several other cultural activities within Koprivnica local community. These activities included, for instance, performing Finnish songs at three festivities: “Celebration 50+” at the local home for the elderly (3.10.2013), Library “Fran Galović” award ceremony for becoming “The Croatian library of the year” (11.11.2013), and the birthday celebration of the city of Koprivnica at organization Bolje Sutra (5.11.2013). In addition to this, Ms. Kytömäki attended the local bicycle club trip to Crna Gora (7.9.2013), read Finnish poetry at poetry evening in Kulturno kreativni centar Pixel (17.11.2013), attended Koprivnica historical association tour in the memory of local poet Fran Galović (26.10.2013), and took part in traditional chestnut festivities (Kestenijada, 5.10.2013). All this shows that Ms. Kytömäki’s assistantship went over library borders and followed the mission of the Koprivnica Public Library “Fran Galović” to be involved in the life of local community as much as possible.
