IT Service

Implies the free use of computers in the Children’s and Science and study Departments. Internet access is available in the Children's, Adult and Science and study Departments.
All library visitors may make use of an hour's FREE Internet access, once a day.

Borrowing

Children’s Department

Material that may be taken out of the library:

• Picture books
• Books for children and teenagers (fiction and non-fiction of all fields and walks of life)
• Audio books (for the blind and visually impaired)
• VHS and DVD movies and music CDs

Library material to be used only in the Children's Department

• Reference collection both in print and in electronic form (dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopaedias and similar)
• PC CD ROMs for learning and entertainment (games)
• Magazines
• Some movies on DVD

Adult Department

Library material that may be borrowed:

• Latest fiction and literary classics both Croatian and foreign (prose, poetry, drama, etc.)
• Popular non-fiction works in all fields (science in general, philosophy, psychology, ethics, religion, sociology, politics, economy, law, military sciences, upbringing and education, ethnology, ethnography, the natural sciences, ecology, medicine, agriculture, stock raising, household economy, the arts, theory of literature, travel books, autobiographies, history)
• Obligatory home reading titles for all grades of high school
• Homeland Collection (books dealing with issues of the region, books by authors of the region)
• Books in foreign languages (English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Roma and other languages) as well as recommended books for reading
• The Roma shelf – books dealing in issues of the Roma people
• Audio books (for the blind and visually impaired)
• Movies and documentary films on DVDs

Library materials that may only be used in the Adult Department

• Quick information collection of dictionaries and lexicons

Science and study Department

Library material that may be borrowed:

• Non-fiction and science books in all fields of the sciences
• Non-fiction magazines
• Music CDs, CD-ROMs and DVDs published together with magazines
• Audio books

Library materials that may only be used in the Science and study Department:

• Reference collection in both print and electronic form (bibliographies, dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopaedias and similar)
• Material in electronic form for learning foreign languages or for which installation CDs are needed
• Material from the Homeland Collection, the Brozović Collection and the Vošicki Collection
• Especially valuable/priceless books
• Material set aside on a special shelf, usually used for writing scientific papers
• Official publications (Narodne novine (Official Gazette), Croatian Parliament Reports, Reports of the National Statistics Institute, Gazette of the Town of Koprivnica, The Official Koprivnica-Križevci County Gazette). These publications may be used by non-members also.
