The “Fran Galović” Public Library is the cultural, information source and multi media focal point of the Town of Koprivnica, as well as the Koprivnica-Križevci County. Its aim is to enable access to knowledge, information and cultural events necessary for educational, study and scientific pursuits, life-long learning, accessing needed information and entertainment purposes.

Vision 2007-2011
To perform the mission tasks in such a manner so that the Library is recognised for its achievements locally, at national level and internationally as one of the leading public libraries in Croatia, both in its variety of library services on offer to the public, especially for those members of the community with special needs. One of the key tasks being to aid their integration into the activities of the local community and society in general.

Tasks
The key tasks are closely connected to supplying information, education, learning, culture and entertainment as core services and activities of the Library.
